Celebrate the right to read with the Valley Cottage Library’s Banned Books Week Read-a-Thon!
From 2-7pm we will have members of our community reading aloud from books that have been banned or challenged. Books will be read in increments no more than 5 minutes. (click here to be a reader)
Please be prepared with your choice of book passage.
Each community member that participates by reading will be entered into a raffle for banned books goodies.

2:00-3:00pm Adult Classics
3:00-4:00pm Books in the News
4:00-5:00pm Anything Goes
5:00-6:00pm Children’s Storytime – bring your kids!
6:00-7:00pm Books for Teens
Original works from our second Banned Books Trading Cards Project will be on display in our gallery and Trading Card decks will be available for purchase.
Light refreshments will be provided.
