Event Details
The Place Where the People Gather is a film Brooklyn Demme made with members of the Ramapough Lenape Nation in the process of protecting their prayer land. Weaving together an old Lenape Woodpecker story of life with a newer one of extinction, it is an ode to indigenous futures and unity on earth.
Screening will be followed by a discussion with Brooklyn Demme, Andy Minniefield, and Ashley Dawson.
