Celebrate the dance, music, and poetry of women from the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia! The workshop is made up of 3 weekly sessions (March 1, 8, and 15). The first two sessions will be dance workshops, in which Artistic Director Debra Weiss will teach participants dances from Africa and Latin America. The sessions will include a dance warm up and cool down. The third week will be an interactive performance with dance by Debra Weiss, with workshop participants joining Debra for two dance numbers making this program a true community celebration! The final interactive performance will also feature live music with musicians from the Rockland Symphony Orchestra: Karen Gilbert RSO concertmaster on violin, Jacqueline Dreschler on flute & drum, and Stephen Reid on cello.
