Program Description

Event Details

Marc's life has been about pursuing twin passions: creating, recording and performing his original songs and exploring remote areas of the American West. He’s performed at Austin's SXSW Music Festival and the Kerrville Folk Festival and opened for Bob Dylan and other national acts and his antinuclear anthem The Last One was a staple of Richie Havens' concerts. Marc’s critically acclaimed album, RIDE, a collection of songs all having to do with the romance of the West has received national airplay and been licensed by STARBUCKS for worldwide in-store airplay. At this special concert, Marc will perform songs from the album and share some unforgettable stories about his experiences as an easterner in the mountain and desert West.

“Gritty, cinematic tales of the real west...at times stripped bare, at other times dramatic and haunting...an experience like no other album I’ve heard this year.” - MAVERICK, U.K.  "It’s [RIDE] the breathtaking grandeur of the high desert and plateaus suspended between the pioneer days and ten minutes ago” - FAME (Folk & Acoustic Music Exchange) RIDE is ALBUM OF THE YEAR - "Without a doubt, the greatest discovery for us in this year; if not in our entire existence…makes the writers want to write and singers sing….an instant American Classic” - NANOBOTROCK.
