How are plants grown from seeds? Join the Master Gardener Volunteers from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland to learn about the process by reading a book about it together, then children will do hands-on planting of sunflower seeds in a plastic milk jug, using the method known as winter sowing. They will take this jug home to watch it develop over the coming weeks with the help of the natural elements: sun and rain and snow!
